The Nemasket Group has an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded leader that is passionate, empathetic, diverse, and analytical thinker for our Executive Director position. This opportunity to become the future leader of an already successful and growing $4 million non-profit human services agency that was established in 1984 when a group of families came to together to make a decision that would change generations. Currently, serving and meeting the needs of over 400 adults, children, and families with disabilities in a picturesque coastal area of Southeastern Massachusetts. The next Executive Director will be enthusiastic and an excellent communicator to cultivate positive relationships with the board, staff, participants served, local officials, regulatory agencies, and community. Under the general direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall responsibility of The Nemasket Group and for hiring and supporting the executive staff.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Services or a related field from an accredited program, required.

2. Master’s degree in Business, Human Services, or related field from an accredited program, preferred.

3. Eight years of experience in an executive, administrative or management position in a non-profit, human services field or related field.

4. Must meet applicant background check and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.

5. Experience with developing and understanding budgets and financing

6. Ability to procure grant funding and development of community fundraising

5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills to communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, families and individual participants, community agencies and

resources, auditors, subordinates, and staff members. Proactive and inclusive approach to communicating and problem-solving.

 

The Executive Director is responsible for:

· Assisting the Board of Directors in the development of a strategic plan and carrying out the goals and objectives of the plan.

· Monitoring the organization’s facilities, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Board of Directors and governing agencies.

· Managing the organization’s fiscal process including overseeing the operating budget, negotiating contracts, seeking out grants, and supervising the Finance Director to ensure accounting policies and procedures are established and followed.

· Hiring, interviewing, training coaching, and supporting executive level staff while overseeing the organization’s Human Resources functions.

· Serving as a member of the Board of Directors and developing meeting agendas, preparing quarterly board packets, and assisting in recruitment, orientation, and training of new board members.
