The Nemasket Group Story…
Our story began in 1984 when a group of families came together to make a decision that would change generations to come. They wanted their sons and daughters to have a future — a future that included working and participating in everyday community life. The Nemasket Group was born from that idea and a lot of effort from families, friends, local officials and other state agencies. There were 19 individuals when the doors first opened and today, we continue to support individuals from the greater Southeastern Massachusetts area to develop career goals, gain employment, participate in their interests, and so much more. We have grown and evolved through the years and have added programs to meet the needs of families and individuals living with disabilities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. We take tremendous pride in the impact we make and the work that we do, and are grateful for the opportunity to serve over 400 adults, children and families in our community.
